Hi hi! This was my prompt (with a little help from my friends A & R) and you have taken it and crafted it into such a masterpiece! I LOVE IT TO BITS AND PIECES!

The snapshot of the life of a mangaka was so interesting, and you added all these details and real conversation between real people with real lives
(okay, exceptionally beautiful, real people but real people all the same). I like how they’re so much a unit and they all look out for Junmyeon and take care of him in a way. It’s such a lovely dynamic.

And then there’s the boy from Vanilla - I LOVE THAT BOY BECAUSE WAITER!JONGIN IS ONE OF MY THINGS OKAY??? I love that they have this routine, this pattern that they follow because they’ve grown so familiar with each other the months. and it’s not just about being used to seeing each other, it’s about Jongin being that lifeline he clings to even if the latter has no idea. You said it so beautifully here:

Jongin is the person Junmyeon looks forward to seeing, the light at the end of the deadline tunnel

This is so visual and lyrical and beautiful and HAVE I MENTIONED I LOVE THE WAY YOU WRITE? And JM come back, you silly man! You can’t just drop your sketches and your notebook and go!! And more importantly, you can’t just leave Jongin without explaining!

Omg Yura i love you! Also, how do you manage to paint such an evocative picture of JM as a child? i love so much.

Vanilla is different during the day...The bright sunlight shining through the windows is diffused through filmy white curtains, the shade of paint on the walls is more soft lilac than rich tan ... It's lovely, but Junmyeon feels off-balance somehow, like he's seen a different side of someone, a side he didn't expect.

This attention to setting and the way you've used it to reflect the mood and the thoughts of Junmyeon is just a+!

You dressed Jongin in in jeans and a white mandarin collar - I AM GOING TO CRY BC JONGIN IN MANDARIN COLLAR CRIES MORE

He's used to drawing people on paper, playing god with his characters, not trying to figure out the intricacies of human interaction in the flesh, where words sting and glances burn.

THIS! THIS! You can write all the best lines in your head but you’re still screwed if you can’t make them come out of your mouth in a way that makes sense to people. that bit about “where words sting and glances burn” is just awe inspiring.

It’s so interesting that Junmyeon wanted to try a different wine. Is it because Vanilla is "different in the daytime”. It’s like JM is embracing the contrast. And maybe he’s just ordering a different wine because he's about to shake up their established routine a bit by telling Jongin things? Ahhhhh. And the way they kinda got together not together was just precious <3
