I got this note concerning my upcoming internship with GE:
"Per GE policy, if you are a permanent resident/green card holder, you must provide your HR with a copy of your permanent residency card so that you can be on-boarded properly prior to your start."
Umm.... I am a permanent resident, but sadly, I think my green card went through the wash? WTF? I'm not sure what part of my application looked suspicious, but I think you have me confused with someone, i don't know, foreign-born? yeah, I was born in good ol' Omaha, Nebraska... So, yeah, ... really?
in other news, I got home two days ago, and since then have developed a throat so sore it hurts to talk and swallow. Which sucks, since this cuts into my laughing at season 3 of the office i just got for the early xmas i celebrated with the extended family recently....hurts to swallow pills too, go figure...
