I feel really good after singing this morning. We had an extra LaTUCS rehearsal today because we are having a performance on Wednesday night.
Speaking of which, I don't often promote concerts heavily, but after working with Warren Wills today (a piano guy who's bloody awesome), I feel like encouraging everyone and anyone to come along.
It should also be a fun night to be in the audience because you can sit at tables and drink from the bar while watching/listening to the night's entertainment.
It is LaTUCS' first go at a performance, since they just started up as a choir this year. Some of the repertoire is straight out of Aicsa songbooks, but you will never have heard N'Kosi and a few others done in quite the same way before. There's also some different stuff that will be new to most of you.
Warren is going to play some piano stuff of his own (and the audience's) choosing as well, which I am greatly looking forward to.
Also, there will be a small male madrigal group from within the choir singing, ROCS may be doing something (I'm not sure if they've gotten enough people together to come along or not) and apparently Wizard's quartet will be singing a few songs too! :-)
So:
When: This Wednesday 9th June, 8pm
Where: The Eagle Bar, La Trobe University, Bundoora campus
What: La Trove University Choral Society proudly presents - An evening with Warren Wills - a soiree to launch choral singing at La Trobe University. An evening of light entertainment, madrigals, anthems and anecdotes.
