there’s something about taking pictures of taekwoon that’s different from taking pictures of the rest of the members.
with the others there’s always forced smiles and exaggerated poses and expressions and it’s fun and they all laugh when they look back at the shots later, but sometimes it’s not what hongbin wants.
when he takes pictures of taekwoon he doesn’t ask, and for the most part, taekwoon doesn’t seem to mind. hongbin thinks it’s because he chooses the moments carefully. he knows better than to bother taekwoon when he’s too tired or upset or busy. he makes sure to catch taekwoon in his viewfinder when they’re at rest, when they aren’t working, when taekwoon is taekwoon and not leo because there is a difference.
(leo is quiet and focused and polite and professional but taekwoon is like someone else entirely. he’s a normal young man, someone who can be lazy when the situation allows laziness, he’s feisty and playful in his own way and not afraid to speak when something needs to be said.
hongbin likes capturing taekwoon like this because when they’re at their busiest, it’s not something that he gets to see very often.)
when hongbin takes pictures of taekwoon there’s nothing forced about it. taekwoon goes about his business as if there isn’t a camera following him around as he makes his lunch or flips through a book or dozes on the couch with his headphones on at full volume.
sometimes hongbin gets close enough that their arms brush, they bump into each other, and while at times it can fluster hongbin, taekwoon doesn’t seem to mind that either.
(there are times when hongbin takes advantage of this.
he knows that what he’s doing is obvious, there’s no way it isn’t when he leans in to shoot something over taekwoon’s shoulder and he’s close enough that his breath ruffles taekwoon’s hair.
even if taekwoon lets him do this he doesn’t push it. he’s too afraid of what might happen if he crosses a line. he’s afraid that taekwoon won’t allow it anymore, even though he’s let hongbin slide all this time.)
as much as hongbin loves taking pictures of taekwoon, there’s something he loves even more.
there are times when hongbin isn’t the one behind the camera. every once in a while taekwoon will get his hands on it when hongbin isn’t paying attention and he’ll refuse to give it back until he takes a few pictures that he’s satisfied with.
(hongbin is used to being in front of a camera, it’s part of his job, his everyday life, but it’s different when it’s taekwoon that’s in control. at first it used to make him shy. he couldn’t really explain it and he would get embarrassed when taekwoon pointed the lens in his direction. it wasn’t a professional photo shoot, it was intimate in a way that hongbin couldn’t really understand.
it’s different then because taekwoon is the one leaning close. taekwoon is the one breathing hongbin’s air. taekwoon is the one pushing and pulling him to get the best angle, the best picture.)
taekwoon isn’t as familiar with the camera as hongbin. he fumbles with it sometimes, struggles to find what he’s looking for through the viewfinder, but there isn’t anyone that hongbin would trust with this like he trusts taekwoon.
