Didn't really do much else today. I did go up to BWS to pick up an order of
Kahlua (I LOVE Kahlua) but I also bought something that was on special, and thought I would try. It's a Korean rice wine -
Makgeolli.
An interesting taste... it's naturally banana flavoured, and is lightly carbonated, which makes it somewhat interesting to drink at first. However, once the fizz dies down, it's a lot nicer. It's not a huge amount of alcohol - around 4%, and it's 750ml - the same amount as a standard wine bottle, but it looks so much smaller! They're normally $15 each (or $45 for 3), but
BWS had them on special at 3 for $30, so was relatively inexpensive to try it.
It DID get me slightly tipsy though, on the relatively small amount I had...
Oh, the excitement of my suburban existence...
