Ugh, I should have listened to Jeremy. One step forward, two steps back. But I'm strong, I can rebound. It will be mine. Hopefully.
Now a few shout outs to a few customers.
To white kid: Even though I was "probably the wrong person to ask", as you said, about your music question, were you surprised that I knew more about it than you? Brian 1, white kid 0.
To latino guy: Now I've gotten used to being hit on, subtly, by men. But I don't need your fake compliments and you're super agreeable attitude. Stop waving at me, stop thanking me for nothing, stop pretending to like the buttons I wear, and stop asking me questions you know the answer to. At LEAST you bought the CD I found you.
To white girl: Thanks for putting a bit of sunshine on that shift. You caught me off guard and really put me in my place. Very clever. And to top it all off, you were buying vinyl, aw. Wish there were more people like you.
To depressed guy: That was the best customer exchange in a while. I'll make a post about it.
To ex-pilot: I'm glad we like the same classics from the 60s and 70s, but I'm not comfortable with you putting your hand on my shoulder when we talk, everytime you come in. Sorry sir.
To sickly girl: You like shitty music, but you're quiet and come in alone. You look so sad, though you still smile. You buy your things and leave right away as usual. I talk to you because no one else does, hope you feel at home at Tower.
