Missing Tooth and No Assignment
so i've been having a little bit of pain near one of my teeth lately and my stupid insurance with the military just kicked in so I went to the dentist yesterday just thinking I had a cavity or something. Oh no, they ripped the sucker right out. It was a baby tooth that never had a replacement and it was just starting to disintegrate basically and an infection was forming where the root used to be (too much info, sorry) and so they pulled the bad johnny out right then and there! I look like I'm from the Valley!!! AND- I won't have an implant for 2 months. What the? Who the? It was horrible. I'm such a baby at the dentist. I used to be a badass until the Dr. of Death tried to kill me that one time. SO- I get my tooth pulled and I look like white trash and I put the tooth underneath my pillow last night and the tooth fairy didn't come! WHAT is WRONG with the tooth fairy? I'll have to let him know next time I see him he's fired! Lucky for the tooth fairy I still have one more baby tooth that this will undoubtedly happen to as well so MAYBE he can redeem himself then but I don't know...
and another rant. We were supposed to get our stupid assignment like, last week and it's still not here. This wouldn't upset me that much except now it will come most likely next week and I'm going to be on the road. So I won't get to cry my either a) tears of joy or b) tears of sorrow with Daniel. I'll be crying to you Jes- look out! I'm just bummed about that because I wanted to share the experience of finding out our first assignment together but now we'll just have to talk about it on the phone. Totally stupid to be upset about I know but...ugggh. My Mom did remind that I should just be happy I'll have a cell phone on me. "20 years ago you would have been pulling over every couple hours and making calls from a pay phone...if you could find one!" Damn, I hate it when she has a good point.
Our 1 year anniversary was on Monday. Thanks for the nice wishes from the peeps who sent them. It was a low key day and just as I wanted it.
Is that all? I think it is. I'm looking forward to this road trip. We'll start early Tuesday morning so that we can pull in to Chicago asap and start touring the windy city. I'm SO excited!!! Catherine is going to be our tour guide- thanks Cat!! If only the cubbies were playing but that's okay, just seeing Wrigley Field should be a blessed event. Oh, and where Oprah lives. I'll have LOTS of pictures to post when I get home from that trip.
