LJ really sucks these days. I guess it's because everyone made the jump to myspace. No jump for me so I guess I'll just have to deal with the suckiness.
It's BEAUTIFUL outside. And I don't work so I get to go outside for runs and walks, tend to my flowers (if watering 4 hanging baskets is considered "tending,") sit outside with a book and a bottle of water and just chill. I am loving it! It's 67 as I type. I decided to take a little lunch break and come inside.
I've cooked almost every night the last two weeks and I haven't screwed up anything! Isn't that thrilling?! Although this casserole I made last night could have come out a little better but still, I'm so happy with the progress. And, I have perfected a homemade salsa that is quite yummy so things are going well on the cooking side.
As far as my house being spotless...not so much. Don't get me wrong, it looks a LOT better on a day to day basis than it used to but it could be better. I need to work on that and I really need to get the war-zone laundry room situation under control before Jes moves in.
On that note- I'm flying down to Louisville on June 5th to drive back up the Alcan with Jes. It should be quite the adventure. We're going to be making a few detours on the way to see and do some cool stuff so I'm real excited about the trip. We'll probably half camp/half hotel it so it we shouldn't stink too bad once we make it back to Anchorage. I'm looking forward to it, it should be fun.
STILL no damn assignment news. It should literally be any minute that we hear something but I've been saying that for the last week and we haven't heard didly squat. But, since LJ is so alive with news I'll be sure to post it hear when we do find out. (big eye roll)
