General catch-up

Okay, I'm not sure how long it's been since my last post, but I can't always get through my daily internet routine the way I'd like, i.e. life happens. Generally things are in a state of conspiring to slow me down. I promised myself that I would get the car situation taken care of as soon as possible, but the bureaucratic machine at work is slower than molasses in January... and it's late February already.
Brandon came to visit on President's day which also happened to be his birthday, which was a day late due to sickness. We went to McDonald's for lunch and I introduced him to the Historic Haven. He and Caitlyn played together whil erin and I watched some of The Thirteenth Warrior. He brought Erin a birthday present of an Introductory box set for Classic Battletech after an on-line discussion he and I had re: fond memories Erin had been having at the time. To make a long story short I've been enjoying the set so far, though I'm still reading through the rules. (For the record, erin preferred Mechwarrior to Classic Battletech).
I was at work yesterday when Erin called having received a call herself from the Y saying that Caitlyn had a fever. This would make me sad and concerned on a normal day, but yesterday was Tuesday, and Caitlyn has ballet on Tuesdays. I know how much she loves ballet. I'm not sure she realizes she missed it, thank goodness. Needless to say erin left work early to go pick her up and stayed home to watch over the Little One. By the time I got home shortly before 3PM however it was ERIN who was sick and Caitlyn who was up and perky at the computer. They both stayed home today as well. Apparently Caitlyn's fever has been coming and going, but Erin seems truly miserable. Whatever she has has aggravated her fibromyalgia and she has a horrible cough.
