I'm doing much better and my facial muscles or almost back to normal. Went to visit the Doc yesterday and he confirmed it was Bell's Palsy and put me on meds and steroids. It's a weird feeling to be paralyzed. Imagine just waking up one day and feeling one side of your face different from the other especially when you smile. Then you get to thinking am I imagining this or is something really wrong with me? Was I like this before? You stare in the mirror all the time seeing a crooked smile on your face and practice winking but are not able to squint one eye completely shut, but you never wink with this eye so it might be normal. Then it hits you when you cant do certain functions. You cant whistle anymore, you can't curl back one side of your mouth and show all of your teeth, can't spit real well, or can't SUCK! The first thought in your head is a mini stroke but the rest of the body doesn't show any effects and very strangely your tongue is numb.
This has been going on for a week now and steadily getting better. There's no sign of a mini stroke and the Doc told me with confidence that this will go away. One thing I learned about this is when you are sick, even with a cold, you should take care of yourself or you will be inviting worse illnesses.
