Watch the birdie
This afternoon, in my front yard:
I'm guessing it's a pair setting up house, Looks like it was two males squabbling over territory, they were dancing around each other up and down and around the trees. With all of the interesting wildlife that our yard attracts, this is the first time I've seen pileated woodpeckers out there. I hope they stay out of the way of our resident red-tailed hawk.
