to the many and the few:
SubcitizenSam is cracking the scene in this town, finally out and about doing his own thing under the gentle wave and push of support from his friends.
this week: wednesday, 7-9pm, debuting at Cafe Caffeine, 909 W. Mary st. (off S. Congress) at their beloved poetry/music open mic night. thursday, 630-10pm, at Austin Java Company, N. Lamar at about 12th st. (I think).
come if you feel like it, don't if you don't. don't if you can't, do if you can. it's no big deal really. all I'm really doing is doing what I should've been doing for years now, catching up, I guess.
if I get around to the whole thing the set list will be (gradually over the evening); "Song For This City," "Wreck Threat," "Vermouth," and I'll do my darndest to perform my newest song, "Song I Never Wrote (You)." then we'll see about playing something different at Austin Java, say maybe, "3rd Notice," and/or "Personal."
I'm finally getting to do what my soul has been trying to get me to do for a very long time... fuckin' perform.
but totally, I'll probably try and do this at least once a month... as I'd hate to be the dude that comes in playing the same songs again and again.
acoustic guitar brought to you by Ant. thanks Ant!
