I forgot last weeks funny story.
We were watching Macbeth in English and Miss Ball really wasn't paying attention to the movie, which is known for it's graphic content and violence. She was grading papers while we watched. Anyways, theres this part where a lady flashes Macbeth and the whole class starts laughing. So I randomly blurted out, "Ohh... Nakie time!" The class laughed harder and still Miss Ball didn't look up. Then there was another nakie part and I just said, "Get naked!" LOL. With each comment I made, the class laughed even harder. The next day, the first scene was an entire room full of naked women. So I just blurted out, "It's nakie time in the nakie room!" Of course Nkem was dying of laughter and most of you that know who she is, also know that she's loud and doesn't stop laughing. Miss Ball still didn't look up. It wasn't until there was a male naked scene when the class was roaring with laughter. LOL! I was too shocked to say anything. Miss Ball finally looked up and screamed, "Oh my gosh!" and she ran over to the TV to fast forward it. LOL! She had no idea that there were naked scenes in the movie. She fast forwarded it and right when she pressed play and turned around to go to her desk, the last naked scene came up. This time is was a naked woman with her back to the camera. But everytime she took a step or sat down, her butt jiggled. So everyone was laughing and Nkem was bawling by then. LOL! My random blurtout for that scene was, "Jiggle, Jiggle, Jiggle like Jell-O!" LOL! When I said that, Nkem nearly had an athsma attack. LOL! Miss Ball looked up and said, "Oh my! Not again!" She fast forwarded it and from then on, there were no more nakie scenes. When class ended, Miss Ball got up in front of the class and apologized for the "nakieness" in the movie and finally she realized why I kept making "nakie" comments. LOL! That class was hysterical. Mind you, it's an honors class with only one guy! LOL!
Oh yeah, Casey and I are going to state for FBLA. We won 4th place!
I have an audition for the FACCS competition on Thursday and it determines whether I get the slot to actually compete in Jacksonville. I doubt I'll make it but I'm going to try my very best. I'm up against Christina, Casey, Cassandra, Janel and Jordan. They're awesome singers and if I don't make it, then oh well.
I also have 3 auditions next week at Liberty. My parents are giving Liberty one more shot. If I make it into "Sounds of Liberty," which is a band of 6 vocalists and it is the elite group there at Liberty, then it will cover my tuition for all four years (if I stay in the group) or if I audition for a scholarship through the music department and make it in, it will cover my tuition all four years if I study music. I'm going to double major in Music and American History, so it's acceptable. My parents said that if it is all paid for, then they'll let me go because truly they'll know that the Lord wants me there. So please pray for me and pray that I don't get nervous because if I get nervous, I'll sound like crap. The last thing I'm auditioning for is "Opera Workshop." The name says it all. All of this will take place next week when I go up to Liberty for "College For A Weekend."
I can't wait till next week. I'll get the final answer on whether I stay or go. I hope it's the Lord's will for me to get into these auditions and go to school up there. There's no where else I'd rather be and there's no other school I want to go to.
I'm leaving next Wednesday after youth group and I'm not getting home until Sunday. I promise I'll post the results as soon as I can. In the mean time, please pray.
Mrs. Simpson's surgery went well. She got out at 3:30 pm. Please pray for her too. This is a painful and complicated surgery that took 10 hours to complete.
Well, I guess that's it for major updates. I love you guys!
Happy Valentines day if I don't get a chance to post later on.
Love,
Veronica
