eyes crusted shut...
blech. Have been sick forever, well for 2 weeks. That's maybe not forever, but it is when you're a sagittarius!
Giant family thanksgiving with my parents, brother, sister in-law, one year old daughter, two uncles, aunt (going through menopause and randomly bursting into tears and getting nose bleeds), 2 young adult cousins in from MA, brother's wife's parents (MO) and sister, my daddy (called him partner almost all day - good cub_cake!) and his brother(TN). And me. And 5 dogs. Oh, and my crazy not-uncle Davood who brings expensive sea-food and cigars and his wacky expensive art-wife. Phew.
Supressed as many symptoms as I could and bulled through the day. Got to connect with my 1 yr.old niece, Wiggler (name subject to change as she's not one and jiggling in all directions anymore. She's sturdy and smiley and bull headed. We recognize each other. I offered for her to come live with us for teen-age years, if needed.
So, sick, but satisfied. My mom did the best she could, and if I feel like she's a cold fish, well, I can surround myself with warm, nurturing loving friends. Which I have, and whom I haven't seen in way too long.
Could I be feeling grateful? Sick and all? Amazing.
Could have something to do with snaking the turkey bones and coming home and starting broth last night that's still simmering. Soon there will be soup!
