Like I've said in previous posts I'm working at CM2 and have been there since before the store opened, doing stuff like moving shelves around and putting them up and then stocking the shelves and stuff. I'm not in a supervisory position like I thought I would be, although that could change in the future depending on managements decisions. Since I started we've lost the assistant manager who was over sensitive to the way that other people spoke around her and quit in a huff and we've had one of the weekend teenagers sacked for being a lazy bastard and a part time woman sacked because things just weren't working out. (personally I found her a bit wet and indecisive)
Okay, so work and the reason for the title of the post...
Clocking up the hours I've done the grand total works out at 158 hours over 19 days (that's the days I've worked, not including days off) Doesn't sound like much, averages out at 8 hours 20 minutes or thereabouts. Truth is that some of those days were 6 hours and others were nearer to 12... On the plus side I think we get paid on the 15th of the month although I'm only earning minimum wage (£5.35 an hour, current exchange rate that's... $10.20, more than I was making as a custodian in St Louis, but only because the pound is kicking the dollars ass at the moment) but at least it's something. And I expect I'll be looking for something else in the not too distant future as I think my hours will drop off to about 20/25 a week after Christmas so I'll need to look for something with better prospects/pay and more hours if that happens.
Not a lot else going on at the moment, been doing some Christmas shopping, buying some bits to send over for the boys and when I get paid I'll ship that box with the boots in, late Yule gift for H :)
