We arrived on playa just after 4 PM, just in time to help unload the SV Truck! Woopie! Truck unloaded quickly, unloaded our stuff and setup our tent before sundown. G. Mike brought a work light and we built the dome, covered half of it in the light wind of the night. Warm and nice out at night. Now finally cooling.
Driving up went smoothe. We just stopped at a lot of places to stretch and hunt down stamps. We both had mail to send. I will have to check with the "Post Office" on Monday. Wonder if they will have stamps, and yes, they can get mail out to the Default world. Stopped in Truckee, as you know, got a good handful of last minute hardware supplies at Ace! Thank goodness! I seriously forgot a load of things this year. I make due, just would be nice to have the right thing.
Even with all the stops, we made it in 10 hours. Got out stuff setup to a good point and now are heading to bed. Tired, really tired.Kim is out next to me. She nested. The tent layout inside is much more suitable than last year. We were somewhat rushed last year and the tent wasn't put upsuper good. I did a better job this year. I still don't feel a hundred percent, yet I have all I need as far as water and food goes, I just need to eat and drink regularly.
everything feels much more prepared this year. I mean hell, I have internet in my tent and it's only Saturday night. As Kim said, "I wonder what tomorrow will bring."
