Pismo ATV Adventure
Friday and Saturday I went out of town. I took the day off of work anbd went and picked up Punchy and Meike. We started our adventure at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Monterey, CA. FISHIES! We saw everything from Pneguins to Turtles. I really wanted to see the octopus display. The octopus was not up for coming out of hiding. I don't blame him, the place was crawling with ankle bitters.
After Monterey, we continued down to Pismo Beach. Here we unpacked into a hotel I don't think I will ever go back to, never. We got some food and got some sleep. The next morning we woke, packed, and checked out. We headed over to a Rock and Roll dinner and got breakfast. Then we headed out onto the beach to go find our ATV rental guys. Future note, a Matrix with street tires does pourly on the beach sand. After getting ourselves unburried in the sand and unlost on the beach, we found the rental group. Pismo Beach is the only west coast beach you're legally allowed to drive on. So, there are tons upon tons of ATV, dune-buggy, motorcycle, and all other beach vehicle rental companys camp out there, plus loads of people who bring their own vehichles. It was like Motocross Mad Max out there. We had a blast! We each got sunburned, bruised, and really tired. It was fun thou and I plan on going back sometime in the off season.
