SO. AS SOMEBODY WHOSE ENTIRE BACKSTORY JUST GOT REWRITTEN FOR THE PSP, and whose voice has already had one canon redux via movie. And probably has even more canon redux in a Japanese cellphone game. And ALSO got more canon in Dirge on PS2. orz FFVII project why are you across EVERY PLATFORM EVER
I am basically not going to buy a PSP, cause I don't want one. :\ And I really don't think you should remotely need to get the PSP just to update your roleplay character, gawd. ARE YOU NUTS? D: Though I DO understand wanting something more solid than just tidbits, that's more your own comfort level; as long as you are true to the canon you HAVE I don't think it's a problem? I am waiting for Sony to release another handheld so it becomes defunct, and then I can buy it really cheap and get all the games I missed out on. That is MY STRATEGY. This may take a few years. :\
In the meantime, in regards to mah New Canon, I am going to rely on waiting for a script of Crisis Core and YouTube and I don't see anything wrong with that. XD; It's sort of like, if an anime/manga gets spare radio dramas/novels, that's canon they can choose? Like, Bonus Material! While I can understand wanting a MORE SOLID GRASP on new canon, cause god it's new canon!1 and that's always helpful, it doesn't change that you've been playing until now based on a canon voice, if that makes sense?
Basically I think it'll all come down to what you yourself are comfortable with. :\ If you REALLY WANT TO PLAY THE NEW GAME, then I'd go like. Rent a PSP. Do rental places still rent systems? They did back in MY DAY :\ But yah, just... if you thought you could play him before, that shouldn't change. It's more of a "do I update or not" thing if that makes any sense. lol, ask Zack for tips? BESIDES I just... when I replayed VII and watched AC I basically had to think "ok how am I going to integrate these" cause the voices were so different >D So you'll probably end up taking from your initial interpretation and just add onto that, anyway.

I am super anal-retentive when it comes to voice but I realize I should not be so picky when it comes to this issue otherwise I will just make myself more broke (s-sob) and I really do want to play the new game, but I don't like leaving things up to chance. Delita is... well, he's a little iffy right now, but I think I'm keeping him stable. I just hope I can continue to do so.
