I'm really looking forward to the World Championships! I thought they'd be in Japan this year but last week during the Euros I found out that they are taking place in Nice (which is good for me. Asia is a-alright with me too because the most important events are at noon or in the afternoon CET but championships on the American continent... not so good ^^;;. I suppose for you Europe is better than Asia, too?).

Unfortunately Eurosport Germany is the only broadcaster (OK, technically there should be some Russian state channels broadcasting it we should get via satellite but I can never find them) and they tend to kick out figure skating in favour of such incredibly important events like the Africa Cup (I like soccer, I do but this is the lamest championship ever) or Snooker Championships (is that even a sport? -_-). For the Euros, for example, thanks to the goddamn Africa Cup, we only got to see the free skate and not even all of it (so I couldn't see the part which Bijou Brian Joubert apparently botched so badly that it put him so far back in the rating that I couldn't even find him at first. On the other hand, apparently the return of Plushenko spooked him so much that he totally lost his head). I'd love to see events like the US Nationals or the Four Continents but no one broadcasts it and most streams are geo-blocked.

Let's see if Plushenko is taking part in the Worlds this year. If not I'll be rooting for Takahashi! ♥
