Tonight, I watched someone have dental hardware forceably ripped from his mouth with a pair of pliers. It was the anchors from a set of braces the person no longer wanted, but which there was no desire to actually pay an orthodontist to remove. Still, consensuality and known beneficiality aside, that's rather, oh, I don't know, hardcore? Something like that.
Oh, and yes, the person removing them knew how to approach it so as to cause no damage (i.e., torsional pressure parallel with the plane of the tooth, and no force in any other direction), but still. *shudder* Wasn't even a "scene" thing, really, lest you think otherwise.
