From the IM logs of Christopher T. Osborn, Space Detective:
"Well, you got up at about 8:45 this morning, which gave you just enough time to shower, eat, and prepare for your day.
"As you headed for your first class, you thought you heard someone calling your name, but you couldn't figure out where.
"At some point after lunch, it happened again.
"You looked around more closely, and you saw the the air about 3 feet to your left looked as though it was rippling.
"You stepped closer to get a better look, when, suddenly, an arm snaked out and pulled you in!
"After a slight bout of dizziness, your vision cleared, and you looked around.
"The person who pulled you through was none other than Amelia Earheart!
"She needed your help to battle the evil magician who was oppressing the people of Outer Slobovia.
"You went to his castle and fought the magician's underlings, using your newly-discovered magic powers.
"After a long, pitched battle, you learned that the magician was confusing Outer Slobovia with Mars.
"Given that both have a similar reddish hue to their soil and a relative lack of oxygen, you could see that it was an honest mistake.
"After you pointed him in the right direction ("Up. Way, way, up. ...then to the left a little. Oh, and watch out for those solar flares."), there was great rejoicing among the indigenous peoples of Outer Slobovia.
"Waving good-bye to Amelia, having promised never to reveal to the world where she was, you went back through the spatial distortion.
"You were sent back to your own land with a medal around your neck, but when you stepped through, the medal had turned into a bubble gum wrapper.
"Shrugging it off, you went to your next class.
"Hmmm... I don't think anything else exciting happened."
"Uhhh... I don't remember any of that."
"Yeah, spatial distortions do that. You're just lucky I was paying attention!"
"I am!"
