So I learned something interesting in school tonight. The average house has a 200amp feed. It is becoming more common for houses to have a 400amp feed. One of the guys in my class is working on a Stop and Shop, which has a 1600amp feed.
Another guy in my class is beginning a job tonight on a house in Greenwich. This house has a 1200amp feed. It is 24,000' sq. and he says it is the size of a small office building. Having "grown up" in Greenwich I never really thought about details like that. It was always just "oh wow look at the size of that house". This sort of helps put things in perspective for me.
