In the name of all that's sacred, what have I done to myself. Today was the first of three days I am working in the Hamden Walmart. That place looks as if it is a war zone. First they sent me to the seasonal isle to help straighten up. There were more costumes on the floor then on the pegs (no exaggeration). All we did was pick up the stuff off the floor and hang what was salvageable, then put the rest in a cart. That took us about a half hour. Then I was sent outside (I didn't plan to have to work outside so I had no jacket) to collect carts, in the rain. After a half hour of that I was pretty wet. Then I got to work in the domestics section folding towels and putting things back where they go. In three hours I barely finished one isle of that.
So then I come home to find the ferret cage in the middle of my bedroom floor. When I told my roommate I didn't have the energy to deal with cleaning the cage right now she said, "Well just push them off to the side". I can understand that she doesn't want them in the living room until their bedding is changed because we are having a fly problem and her room is right next to where the cage sits. However it would have been nice if she put them in a neutral room, like the game room, instead of making me climb over them to go to bed.
I am now exhausted (14 hour day) and I think it is time for bed.
