How I spent my labor day weekend, by Matthew Millman

Saturday:
My friend Lisa is doing some house cleaning. I went over and helped her bring somethings to Goodwill, then we went out to lunch where we met with another friend Debbie. We had chinese buffet and sat and talked for awhile. After lunch we went to blockbuster to try to find a movie but there was nothing there that caught our eyes so instead we went to see the movie "The Cave". All in all it wasn't bad. It is no Oscar winner by any stretch of the imagination but it was entertaining, especially at the price I paid for it (Lisa paid for my lunch and the movie, I have great friends). After the movie it was getting late so I left to go to my friend Jay's house where I stayed the night so I could be up very early the next morning.

Sunday:
Jay and his wife Heather got me up so we could leave their house by 7am. We drove for about an hour to the Goshen faire. For those of you unfamiliar with the Goshen faire let me tell you a little about it. It is much like any other faire or special event such as Trumbull day or Stratford day, except there are alot more farm animals and tractors there. It is a country faire in the middle of north west Connecticut. We spent about 6 hours wandering around while Jay and Heather took pictures of everything. It was a beautiful day and I had a very good time with my friends despite the fact that I am not really into country faires. The rest of my day once we got home was spent relaxing because I was very tired after being in the sun for so long and walking around so much.

Monday:
I went to my mothers around 11am so we could have lunch together. Then we went to see "Brothers Grimm". It was very enjoyable, much better then "The Cave", and it gave me a ton of ideas for gaming. We had a very nice time except that my sciatic nerve began to bother me. For those of you who do not know what a sciatic nerve is, let me explain. The sciatic nerve runs from the base of your spine down your legs. When your spine pinches this nerve it sends excruciating pain shooting down one or both legs and makes it almost impossible to get comfortable in any position, and there isn't much you can do for it but wait it out. So I just got out of a hot tub, hoping this will help soothe it, and that has been my weekend. I really, really don't want to go to work tomorrow.
