I haven't posted in a while so here's a bit of what I've been going and what's in the works for May:
Last weekend:
*I somehow convinced myself that buying a leather collar with a bell the size of my fist was a good idea. Subsequently, cat ears were purchased because, how can you possibly have the bell without the ears, right? I think my IQ dropped the second I put them on.
*I got Tricia Helfer's autograph for Graham which put him over the moon and kind of irked Mat. I am now officially awesome.
*I got to get my picture taken with Kevin Sorbo. I also got him to sign a picture. I will never think of the words "meow meow" the same way again.
*George Takei sung to me when I went to get his autograph. It was beyond awesome.
*I had to explain to my co-workers at the theatre about fandom which led to questions about that guy out on the lawn in front of res practicing with his lightsaber. The more I had to explain and the more we went into it I sounded more and more like a complete nut. Sometimes I wish there was some sort of pamphlet or course like "How to explain fandom to your friends 101" or something so I don't look like a complete head case.
This week/end:
*I will be broken by SPN thursday night
*friday I took a personal day so, of course, I got roped into working the morning dance festival shift.
*gonna go see Iron Man friday night. Woo!
*saturday I work and then I get to see Stars on Ice. My mother somehow scored box seats and gave them to Tiff and me.
*sunday I work my last shift at the theater *sheds single manly tear* I don't think I'll miss it.
*at some point acquire the Hornblower series on dvd
*acquire box of stuff for
simsabalim The weekend after:
*drive down to seattle
*try not to pass out in front of Jamie Bamber and get him to sign aforementioned Horblower dvd
*stalk webcomic artists
*get Adam Baldwin to sign Sands of Oblivion, because that would be interesting seeing his reaction
And then...May long weekend! Hopefully the weather is nice, because I'm considering whether nor not I should start airing out the tent.
