The strangest things come to me at the strangest times.....

....like yesterday in the shower. I was soaping up when I started thinking of the word mind, and all the ways in which we use - and misuse - it.

According to my dictionary, the origin of the word is from the Old English gemynd, and the definitions (of the word as a noun) are as follows ( Read more... )

YES! Always use a silencer when shooting mimes! It's only common courtesy, after all.

We could go even farther, and wonder: if mime gets shot and screams, would anyone hear them? Would it depend on whether or not the mime is in a box?

(A question reminiscent of "If a tree falls in the forest & no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?")

Was it quantum physics that asked the question about the cat in the box? You know the one: you open a box and see a cat inside, but if you close the box, does the cat cease to exist? Would it work that way for mimes too?

The more you think about this stuff, the more your mind hurts. Or your mime.
