It seems that the older my hubby gets, the more he thinks that the world revolves around him, especially when it comes to leisure time

***When I told him that it was only fair to divide the time equally, he went ballistic & told me to chill out.
Now, I don't see the unfairness of equal computer time on a Sunday.***
Okay, I'm really trying to give an unbiased guy's point of view to explain this but, um....I don't see the unfairness of equal computer time on Sunday either. (-:
***When we moved to this house, we divided up the labor: Dave would take care of cutting the grass (although I always have to help with this), maintain the exterior of the house, maintain the cars, and grill out when it's nice enough to do so. I would do the inside cooking, cleaning, laundry, dishes, and take care of the gardening. Over the past 3 years, he does less & less of his work, and it's become like pulling teeth to get him to do anything.***
Okay, I was going to mention that perhaps he does other sort of stuff but it sounds like at one time you guys had an agreement as to who does what but he's been slacking off. That must be frustrating.
In his defense, you did mention that he puts in more hours on the job than you (his 40 hours vs your 24-ish.) Perhaps that is his excuse for doing less of the work around the house.
Of course, if you're putting in more hours total (job + stuff around the house)then that would certainly be unfair.
Hope y'all can work this out.
Oh, and I'm putting on the finishing touches on my Harry S Truman costume. Should be a smashing hit this Halloween. (-:
Yeah, Dave slacks off a lot! I'd say that we both put in at least 40 hours of work a week, if you count all the stuff I do around the house + my regular work hours.
I can't understand why this seems so unfair to him; maybe it's genetic, because his father is the same way. On the positive side, his dad does do a lot more outside work than Dave does.
