Sweet Temptation!
Remember, I decided to stop counting the non-smoker days and just do weeks instead? Sheesh.
I was going through the desk drawer looking for a disc, and happened upon a cigarette box with half-smoked butts in it. The first thing that went through my mind was, "Where the hell did this come from?" The second thing was, "Wow! I'd really love to smoke one of these right now!"
So, guess what? I didn't smoke any! I did put the box back in the drawer instead of throwing it out, but it actually makes my resolve seem stronger: there are cigarettes in the house and I am strong enough not to smoke them! At least there's one thing I can be proud of myself for! Not like I have any motivation or anything. That tall, dark & handsome guy never showed up. Honestly, why do I bother?
I have no energy at all any more. I am bored, listless, restless, and completely blah. I wish I had some excitement in my life. There used to be a little, but it really petered-out quickly just when I was finally enjoying it.
Having a job would help. I saw an advertisement in the Message yesterday; Sonnax in Bellow's Falls is looking for a receptionist and an inventory control person. I could do either. It'd be money, it's only about 2 miles away, and maybe - if I was lucky - there'd be some good lookin' guys to watch while I'm doing my job. Well, at least there'd be a paycheck. I guess I should apply.
Running out of Jeff-isms, so I decided that I'd just throw in a daily quote from some other source. Maybe one of my quotes will inspire someone - couldn't hurt if that someone was me!
