Two nightmares, one from last night and one from last week. the last week one first.
I believe that this was some kind of metaphor for the debt ceiling crisis. China had taken over the united states, planet of the apes stype, and hundreds of years later a group of us joined together to journey to the tomb of obama under death valley in California to wake him up. Obama was a lady for some reason. It was very action-packed, very cinematic in feel, with automobile chances and all sorts of crazy stuff straight from a movie.
In last night's nightmare, I was with my girlfriend, a day before she had to marry another dude. we couldn't stop the marriage, so we were staying together for the last day to comfort her. It was really sweet. I left to get her a bottle of wine and promised to fuck her when I got back. I went to an old, dim grocery store, couldn't find a good wine, and went to a skeevy part of town- an auction house- to find better wine. I was in that part of town when I was shot and died.
Meanwhile, a mad scientist and his girlfriend were trying to use a cadaver to bring the mad scientist's son back from the dead (the scientist had had a wife but they had divorced; he didn't love the girlfriend enough to marry her; she was really just an assistant he fucked.) Instead, I got trapped in the body meant for the boy. They realized that I wasn't the son and locked me up, trying to figure out how to get rid of me. the girlfriend was sent to watch me and I tried to break her loyalty to the mad scientist, to convince her that the mad scientist didn't love her because he hadn't made a commitment to her, and to let me go and not kill me so I could make it back in time for my girlfriend's wedding. I woke up before I could convince the girlfriend to let me go.
The dream also contained an apartment with cupcakes on high shelves (dark chocolate with cream cheese frosting and a button of dark chocolate on top) that would occasionally fall down so the occupants could eat them. most awesome apartment ever.
