Yay
Ok. This first part is just a rant so you may want to just skip it (or not read this at all). Anyway I was at Asda doing my weekly shopping when I thought I'd get a couple of Boddingtons. But I get to the check out and they ask for I.D. Fair enough, i'm looking rather young at the moment. I get out my driving licence and hand it over. She checks it,gets someone else to check it, and asks me how old I am. Then has to call someone else over to make sure its a valid form of I.D. This person then has to call the check out supervisor who asks me my date of birth,asks to see my debit card and has the nerve to imply that this might be fake I.D. This quite pissed me off. Then they ask if I have anything with ,my DoB on it. I quite calmly (considering quite how offended and annoyed I was) informed her that my driving licence has my DoB on it. In the end they finally accepted it. I'm not quite sure what they were thinking. I'm using fakeID to buy 4 cans of beer with my weekly shopping? I'd mugged a 19 year old that looked like me,taken his wallet and instead of going on a massive shopping spree I did my weekly shopping and instead of geting as much beer as I can carry, I get 4 bloody cans. But then again maybe this apparent abscence of rather simple reasoning is why they're working in a supermarket. Sorry. Rant Over
Recently I've been having a bit of bad luck, but yesterday something rather lucky happened. After seeing a house on saturday we'd decided we'd like to rent it next year. So I phoned the landlord to arrange to sign the contract and pay the deposit, but someone else had already said they wanted it. This was rather disheartening. But on a rather remarkable stroke of luck an even better house had become available that day and we could have that one. We had a look and it was much better,we could get it for the same amount of rent and deposit. We signed for it this morning and now I have somewhere to live next year (I was getting worried with only 2 weeks left)All it took was 4 months of searching and a stroke of luck. SO once again I can return to being happy Matt without that looming over my head.
Anyway, I should get to revising.I have a course to learn and only til wednesday to do it.
