According the St. Mary's Catholic Church, if 5 or more of these things describe you, you are considered to be gothic and need an exorcism:
-Frequently wear black clothing.
-Wear band and/or rock t-shirts.
-Wear excessive black eye makeup, lipstick, or nail polish.
-Wear any odd, silver jewelry or symbols. Some of these include: reversed crosses, pentagrams, pentacles, ankhs or various other Satanic worshipping symbols.
-Show an interest in piercings or tattoos.
-Listen to gothic or any other anti-social genres of music.
-Associate with other people that dress, act or speak eccentrically.
-Show a declining interest in wholesome activities, such as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports.
-Show an increasing interest in death, vampires, magic, the occult, witchcraft or anything else that involves Satan. **yay magic! yay occult! yay jewish faith!**
-Take drugs.
-Drink alcohol.
-Are suicidal and/or depressed.
-Cut, burn or partake in any other method of self-mutilation.
-Complain of boredom. **cause you can't worship satan all the time
-Sleep too excessively or too little.
-Are excessively awake during the night.
-Dislike sunlight or any other form of light. (This pertains to vampires promoting the idea that His light is of no use.)
-Demand an unusual amount of privacy.
-Spend large amounts of time alone.
-Request time alone and quietness. (This is so that your chid may speak to evil spirits through meditation.) **cause thats what I do. I only look like i'm taking a nap
-Insist on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an adult.
-Disregard authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and elders are but a few examples of this.
-Misbehave at school.
-Misbehave at home.
-Eat excessively or too little.
-Eat goth-related foods. Count Dracula cereal is an example of this. **count dracula cereal? Chocula?**
-Drink blood or express an interest in drinking blood. (Vampires believe this is how to attain Satan. This act is very dangerous and should be stopped immediately.)
-Watch cable television or any other corrupted media sources. **... no anything but cnn!!**
-Play videos games that contains violence or role-playing nature.
-Use the internet excessively and frequently make time for the computer.
-Make Satanic symbols and/or violently shakes head to music.
-Dance to music in a provocative or sexual manner.
-Express an interest in sex. **i'm going out on a limb and saying... every kid bolds this one**
-Masturbate **see above**
-Are homosexual and/or bisexual.
-Pursue dangerous cult religions. Such include: Satanism, Scientology, Philosophy, Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism and Buddhism. **Cthulhu fhtagn?**
-Wear pins, stickers or anything else that contains these various phrases: "I'm so gothic, I'm dead", "woe is me", "I'm a goth".
-Claim to be a goth.
