It's been 8 weeks since I last posted. Very bad. An update of sorts then.
Happily married for three months now. Phase 1 is now complete...
School is really tough. Kids are all really oppositional (except my top sets) and hard to get anything out of. They all have a misplaced sense of entitlement with no responsibility to go with it.
Job-wise, I'm still acting head of citizenship. I've re-written the whole years schema of work for Learning to Learn, Citizenship and PHSE. The school was recently slated for having none, so I got the blame, despite being the one fixing it. I was warned that it would be a poisoned chalice...
My car is dying a death. Seems the ding it took a while back had serious knock on effects. The tracking is screwed, one of the indicators has died and the engine is about to explode out of the bonnet (which is a stupid term. Its not a babys head, but then neither is it a clitoris, so hood is poor term too). I have to call my insurance, which will ramp up my premiums next year. I think I need to replace it anyway.
I haven't done anything creative in what feels like a million years. The closest I've come is running a Mage game set in Ibiza.
The new flat rocks the hardest. We'd enjoy it more if we weren't in debt, but there you go. Pat and Potter checked it out today and approved and they live in posh Oxford, so it must be OK... Visits available by appointment if you're interested... We'd come to other folk, but dead car and all that.
Probably going to give Maelstrom a go this year. Got bought some events as a wedding present, so we're going to try it out. Not sure how many CP events I'll make, or who I'll end up with.
I ought to do a life plan for the year at some point before the end of January. Soon as they add an extra three hours to the day I'll do that...
