all planes lead to CDG
so i'm leaving tommorrow for england (through cincinnati and paris) where i will remain until july 11,
and then i will proceed to paris and nantes to live with the crazy rich french familly until the end of the month.
but.
holy shit!
devon is flying to paris tomorrow too, so on saturday morning we will both be in Charles de Gaule airport,
from which we must find the way to the train station.
if all goes well - without too many snooty frenchmen getting in our way - we should be able to meet up and locate our trains together.
which would obviously be the awesomest thing ever.
aside from that, you all know the email drill (julia_colton@hotmail.com), so drop me a line if you want a postcard.

i suppose its finally time to post the "songs of 11th grade list," so here goes.
all corniness aside, these are the songs that i listened to 20 times in a row on repeat, or dancing around my room in my underwear to, or just songs that remind me of something that happened.
only one song per any given album was allowed on the list, otherwise it would've been wayyy too long, so some of these represent the whole cd...
1. The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #2 (Laika) = going to the houkah bar with the british boys
2. Atmosphere - The Woman with the Tattoed Hands = jules lent me the cd in like .. jannuary, but i didnt listen to it until june. and then i was blown away.
3. The Beta Band - Squares = tariq's the night before sophie left, and so many other times this year
4. Bloc Party - Banquet = extended essay week driving music, and the show
5. Daft Punk - Aerodynamic = my walking song/ drop-everything-and-start-dancing song, elena's
6. The Evens - Blessed Not Lucky = just a terrific album in general...
7. Explosions in the Sky - [don't know the name of the song] = elena put it on my mix. and its terrific,
8. The Flaming Lips - Fight Test = my mix from elena, hanging out with devon in houston
9. Fugazi - Argument = i had forgotten how fucking good that entire album is, and this song is still one of my favorites .. ever
10. The Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc. = this song drove me crazy because i kept hearing it everywhere and didn't know what it was, its been on repeat since i found out what it was
11. Interpol - Evil = fall 2004
12. Les Savy Fav - Yawn, Yawn, Yawn = not-in-the-mood-to-listen-to-anything-else-i-own song
13. The Libertines - The Good Old Days = also a Fall 2004 song, on repeat
14. Pixies - Hey = a fucking amazing show, and another all-time favorite song (recently overshadowing "where is my mind?" for that position)
15. Q And Not U - No Damage Nocturn = i got the album a while ago, and only this year realized how freaking good this song is
16. Q And Not U - Wonderful People = yet again, a Fall 2004 song.
17. Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody = after semi-retiring Queen for fear of over-listening, i broke out of the 'best of' cd in time for exams.
18. Scissor Sisters - Take Your Mama Out = another get-up-and-dance song
19. Spoon - I Turn My Camera On = one of the best shows i've ever been to
20. The Streets - Turn The Page = so many Streets songs this year, excellent driving music
21. TV on the Radio - Staring At The Sun = bad-day song, they were magnificent when they opened for the pixies
22. Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Art Star = IB art, 'nuff said.
23. Yerba Beuna - Gaujira = another driving song, on my mixes from both elena and avital.
