Those who paid their dues...

Should all people have the same rights? Or better yet, all groups of people? Almost everyone from the South is related to at least one member of the Military. The South produces more recruits than any other area in the Nation. These men and women have given their lives, limbs, youth and hearts in order to secure freedom and democracy. Yet today as in Veitnam these heros are coming home to find their sacrifice is being exploited and to that the America they fought for is becoming dissolved by those who want America to fall on its face or that want everything they have worked for to be replaced by acceptance of unacceptable believes.

Disclaimer: The next statement is not anti-anyone its just a question I was wondering about.

Should those who have not made any sacrifice or "paid their dues" be afforded the same rights as those who give nothing? This I know is a loaded quesiton, but the reason Im asking is becuase there are so many people in this country that give nothing yet take everything and then spit on those who gave it to them. I don't neccassarily think that I am more entitled to any rights above anyone else but almost every male member of my family has served in the military/fought in a war. I will follow in their footsteps soon,
On top of my other question is that is it fair that like my family( which there are many similiar) to sacrifice so much while others give nothing?

As I said Im not attacking anyone, Im just curious. So please dont comment rudely.
