The kids are still missing. Most likely trapped in that painting Marcus did. Because I know my son...I know my kids. Nicholas and Marcus wouldn't have ran away with no note, no calls, no extra clothes. They wouldn't have left their cars here. The only explanation is the one Jake shared with us. That somehow something happened to Marcus's artistic abilities and he was able to create portals or openings to other dimensions. Somehow Theresa, Nicholas and Marcus became caught up in this other dimension.

This...Avalon is what Joanne called it. She's been reading up on Avalon. Marcus painted Theresa as Guinevere, Nicholas as King Arthur and Marcus as Lancelot. That is what Joanne believes at least. She believes they are stuck in this beautiful place and that they are probably safe and will come home to us soon.

I'm not sure what books she has read on Avalon, but I remember a little about the place. It wasn't all that safe and they idea of my boys and Theresa having to fight...

Yet, how is that different than the life we provide for them here? The last few months have been pure hell for all the kids. Maybe Avalon is beautiful and safe in comparison to the life we've given them here. Maybe they've decided they prefer to stay there, rather than come home.

I've never denied my boys anything. If I could offer them a life that was safe and happy, I'd give my own life for them to have it. But staying in that painting is not an option. They have to come home. I need the kids to come home.

So far, I haven't informed the Trejos about Theresa or the kids. Maybe I should, but until I have more answers, I don't want to worry them. Joanne and I promised we'd keep their daughter safe. I've been searching for answers. Reading books on magic and portals. On dimension hopping and mystical paintings. Not that I've understood most of it, but I've got to figure something out soon. Because if they can't find their way back to us?

I'm going in after them.
