I would be hard pressed to say who actually won the battle Sunday night. The rebels in town lost many warriors. The losses on our side where as many in number, however they were half breeds and and lower demons, completely expendable. The army that remains is strong and I have no concerns on whether or not we will succeed in suqashing this rebellion.

I was delighted at their surprise when the half breeds attacked the hospital. It was completely unexpected by them, as though I should be following some antiquated philosophy that the healer go unscathed by war. I never understood this. It seems logical to me that if you want your enemy to hurt you would cut them off from recieving aid from their healer. Why allow them to be cured only to fight you on another front. Let them die now, quick and easy. Do not allow them to live and fester anger, they will only keep coming back for you and at some point they might get lucky and actually succeed and taking you down.

It is also bad form to not anticipate any possible move the enemy may make, no matter how...unexpected or more so unlikely. I failed to do this, and was taken by sorprise when they moved their base of operations to the Hellmouth itself. Where I knew they were aware of the need to protect it, I assumed the power of the te Hellmouth would cause them too much fear to take up residence on top of it. It complicates matters. I must be careful to not destroy the Hellmouth in the process of destroying them.

My benefactor has been sending me new recruits on a daily basis. Those who were convinced that their chances at living through the battle for the throne is slim and that they stand a better chance of survival and being in my good graces when I ascend if they were to join up with me. We will strike soon, not allowing them much time to regroup. They must be short on supplies and their spirits must be at their lowest at this point. I can not allow them to rebound from this. I believe I have decided on a straight forward campaigne against the school. We will converge on the school grounds by the weeks end. It shall be a glorious battle.

I was informed that my captive lives, though he rescuer is dead. I was once again surprised. I would have thought had she lived and made it to town, she would inform the others that their movements had been compromised, thus leading them to circumvent my attacks in someway. However she did not. This makes me intensely curious, and I have redoubled my efforts to have her returned to me. In the meanwhile, I wonder how the news that she betrayed them would be recieved? Perhaps I should find a way for them to learn of this information.
