I have returned
Well, I made the journey back from New York in much better time than on the way there. I did the routing as I explained in my previous entry, and the second one was definitely faster (but boring.) I left this morning at around 7:00am and got back home at 11:45, and I stopped three times. It rained most of the way back, too.
Overall, I had a pretty nice time. I got to the hotel at about 12:30 on Saturday afternoon and made it up to spunky7687's house by 1. We spent most of the day going "uptown" to the Apple Blossom Festival events and festivities. I met a few of Jack's friends and family members, which was cool. It ended up raining all evening so we hung out in his house for awhile and just watched TV and did computer stuff. Eventually they managed to get the fireworks going (even though it was raining) so we drove up to the high school to get a good view of them. After the fireworks were over we took his friend counting__starz home and went back to his house where we caught the 10 and 11pm news. I was pretty tired by that point so I went back to the hotel for the night.
Sunday, we opted to go driving around and Jack showed me around the area. We went to lunch at Friendly's (where I got a very messy chicken melt. Some of the chicken decided to hop out from between the slices of bread and on to the floor..oops.) Anyway, after that we drove through Fairport to Rochester and drove by WHEC-TV downtown, and afterwards we headed south to Henrietta where we found WHAM-TV. I took like two pictures of the WHAM building with the radar and satellite dishes, we were going to try to get a couple more but the batteries died in my camera. After that, we headed back to Jack's house and hung out for the rest of the day. I wanted to get a lot of CDs from him and after copying about 20 I gave up. Luckily he let me borrow his and I will just send them back when I'm done copying, though.
Off topic, but for some reason one of Kenny's ex-boyfriends has come out of the woodwork and decided he wants me in a very forward manner. Okay...so, 1) The way he's been so foward is a HUGE red flag for me like something is up (like maybe Kenny put him up to it to fuck with me or something) 2) he's not my type 3) He lives in Florida 4) We were never even formally introduced. The only time we "met" was when we were across the parking lot from each other when Kenny drug him along some night when he was joyriding with his friends in my rental car that I received after he wrecked the Focus. We did talk a little bit after I had moved back and talked shit about Kenny a bit, and I found out even more things that didn't match up from what Kenny has told me, blahblahblah... anyway, it's not important, but I just don't feel like dealing with this bullshit.
I guess that's all, in a nutshell. Hopefully my visit was enjoyable for Jack and I didn't impose, scare him away, or anything like that. It was really cool to meet up with someone that I've been talking to and trading CDs with for over two years now.
