Well, this last week was pretty great.
Last weekend was pretty uneventful. I got to have lunch with Maggie, which was a lot of fun, I miss seeing her. We went to this really good Mexican restaurant in old town, it was nice. I pretty much worked the rest of the weekend, except for Sunday, which was when I spent 4 hours in the library with Jordan and Brooke doing our Advanced Calc. homework. It wasn't much fun, but we survived.
Monday was pretty exciting. School was normal, but at about 10pm I got a call from Jason asking me where I lived so he could drop something off for me. I was thinking it would just be the notes that I lent him, but it turned out to be flowers for Valentine's day. It was really sweet, it definitely made my night, and week for that matter. Just thinking about it makes me smile, even though I'm pretty sure he just meant them as a friend kind of thing.
Then Tuesday was Valentine's day. It was pretty uneventful. My weird cravings continued, so I had to go grocery shopping. I made banana nut muffins that afternoon while watching "Cool Runnings," which is such a great movie! That night, because we didn't have PLP, Kayla, Ashley and I went to Coldstone (also in honor of Ashley's birthday). When we got home I watched another great movie, "Love Actually," it made me happy. However, the most exciting part of the day was buying "Wicked" tickets for when we're in Chicago over Spring Break, I am so excited you have no idea, it definitely helped make this year my Valentine's day so far.
On Wednesday the snow started. It snowed a few inches and got pretty darn cold. We had a Tu B'Shevat seder, although not a lot of people showed up it was a lot of fun. I also worked in the library with Katie and Jeremy on our Geometry homework, it is so hard, we didn't get a whole lot done, but it was fun hanging out with them and getting to know them better.
On Thursday I worked and definitely spent more money than I made, but it was all on things that I will wear a lot and are necessary, and everything I bought was on super sale. If everthing I had bought had been full price it would have cost about $450, but I only paid $70, so it was a good deal. After work I met Katie in the library again. Jeremy eventually joined us and we got more done. Then it was time for ice skating! It was Ryan, Shirit, Jeremy and I, and it was so much fun! I hadn't been in probably 4 years, so it was nice to be back on the ice. It was also nice to chat with Ryan and Shirit the whole time. The best part was when "We Will Rock You" came on and I said they should play "We Are the Champions" because it's at the end of the second "mighty ducks" movie, which is about hockey which is about ice skating, and then 2 minutes later it did come on, it was rather exciting. So, overall, it was a good day.
Today it continued to be super cold. I got up early to meet Katie at the library to finish our homework. We spent the first hour and a half just chatting, I really Katie, she is so nice and easy to talk to, and we have a lot in common, I think we're becoming pretty good friends. Then we actually worked on the HW for about 20 minutes, but that was long enough to at least finish it. Tonight I went out with Sharyl, who is another person that I really miss. We went and got Gelato ice cream, it was so yummy! Then we saw "Walk the Line" which was fabulous. I really, really like Reese Witherspoon and Jaoquin Phoenix, they wer so fabulous in that movie, I hope they win the Oscars for best actress/actor. And it was so fun hanging out with Sharyl, I really love her.
Wow, a lot happened this week, which I think is a good thing. I had a lot of fun this week, but I'm starting to stress about next week, I have exams in both of my math classes which are not going to be fun, but oh well, I'll survive. Other than that and the below zero weather that we have at the moment, things are pretty darn good. And now, I must get to bed, goodnight and Shabbat Shalom!
