hoo-ray, work done for the summer.
past two nights have been very, very fun. 1789, very good. to my initial embarassment we immediately became "that table." quickly I decided, however, that I just needed to go with it. it was, without a doubt, the most fun I've had all summer. great company, excellent food, spectactular service.
Specifically - so I do not forget - I had:
.Crab Cake hearts of palm, ruby grapefruit, avocado and davon crest farm radishes
.Copper River Salmon lobster, escarole, fresh chickpea and roasted tomato stew
.Lemon Miroir light lemon cheesecake with a merange and curd topping
very wonderful.
that said - after careful and cultured testing - we determined that the restaurant had, in fact, given Tim less brandy than he had paid for.
anyhow, last night was equally fun - Ricky Bobby with Tim and Kate in Georgetown, followed by Pizza Paradiso with sparkling lemonade. I really had no interest in seeing Ricky Bobby. What is wrong with me? I was so exhausted by the time I got home last night, from laughing for 2 straight days, that I immediaely feel asleep and slept for 8 hours.

tonight's off to charlottesville for Mike's birthday.
On another note the dog has been barking for 4 hours now. I am ready to murder her.
