After much hardwork and stress, the applications we've been working on are due tomorrow.  Soon we will all be able to turn our worries to the acceptance letters that we must wait several agonizing months to recieve.  Are any of you, like me, finishing them up on this final day or did you send your application in weeks ago.  Anyways, I'm just ( Read more... )

Applied for Film/Video. Hope I get in; my sister went back in '06 or '07 for Creative Writing, and she loved it. The competitiveness of it is what gets me; oh well. It's in the hands of the administration now!

Thanks, you as well! Did you have trouble with Assignments A-C like I did? I mean, I knew what I wanted to write... but condensing it into 150 words or less killed me.

Yes, I definitely had trouble condensing it as well... I ended up with sentences which were cut so much, I had to reread it several times to make sure that they weren't fragments, haha.

Ah, being concise is no problem, but being short and concise... now this is why I could not apply to creative writing. xDD

(if you don't mind me asking, did you do D, or E? :D)

I was considering applying to either Creative Writing or Theater as a backup (I love the stage!), but I know that what I really want to do in life is make films, so I stuck with that. Oh, and the short deadline also kind of affected that.

I did D. A short little film really just meant to show artistic capability. I did the best I could with what little time and space I was given. Yourself?

Sorry for the long post, I kinda rambled tsukinochiyuki March 3 2011, 07:01:24 UTC
I had trouble deciding as well, and wanted to apply to them all, haha. (I know I'm not talented in all of the fields, it was just tempting, like a buffet xDDD) Truthfully, my parents find me more of a 'dabbler' in the Arts (despite that I've been taking whatever art classes I could since I was young), so both of them had wanted me to apply to Creative Writing, which... Is something I've always enjoyed, but after entering high school, I've discovered that it's not for me. no patience haha and Analit. kills all creative aspects, though I still love Love LOVE trying to write historical fiction

... Long story short, I decided to apply to film (which is something I love, but feel like I do not have enough time to do) and VisArts, which is something I try to do on a daily basis, simply because it's easier to do (from doodling in class, to painting at a studio, &c&c) the fact that I didn't apply for creative writing has nothing to do with the fact that I procrastinated, oh no *cough*

I did D as well, it was made with the intent of showing ( ... )
