G-Town

This weekend I went home with Paige to Germantown, Wisconsin. (It's near Milwaukee for those of you like me who didn't really know where it was.) It has a population of like 16,000, so I was expecting like this little hick town...but I was def wrong. It was this cute little town nestled between a bunch of other little towns and only like 30 minutes from downtown Milwaukee. It was quite a long drive (around 3 1/2- 4 hours..depending on how speedy Mz. Paige drives,) but it was worth the ride when we got to her house and her mom had dinner all ready for us. Spaghetti and meatballs, and this heavenly cookie/fudge bar. DELICIOUS! By the end of the weekend I had found out that her parents were BOTH really good cooks. That night we went to the opening night of Ice Age 2. It was really cute. Afterwards I got to meet her friends and we hung out at her friend (jack's??) house. It was a little akward that night cuz I didn't know anybody, but it was nice to just chill and meet everyone. Saturday we slept in and headed to the mall with Jeff.(her bf) I absolutely loved this mall! It had like all the stores I really like. I ended up dropping like 80 dollars at express on a new jacket and three shirts. A lot of money, but good deals, so it wasn't all that bad. Of course afterwards we got another homecooked meal by Mrs. Krier. Don't remember what it was called, but of course it was delish. We got all shnazzed out in skirts and cute tops...but then realized it was too cold so traded the skirts in for jeans. Headed over to a bonfire...btw...these peeps are CRAZY with their bonfires. Like 20 feet high. You had to stand like 10 feet away or else you'd get burned. Afterwards we took a tour of downtown Milwaukee. Mkay..so I'm not racist at all...but I felt like the minority down there. As I watched people passing on the street, and drive by, I didn't see a single white person. This was definitely a new concept for me. The rest of the night we spent at Jeff's house playing drinking games and guitar hero..lol. I didn't plan on drinking...but peer pressure hit in.LOL. Beer didn't sound good, and neither did hard alchy, cuz I really didn't want to get drunk, but I find a rather large bottle of wine and decided I would just baby one glass for the night. Yeah...didn't really play out the way I planned. Ended up getting a little tipsy of a half a bottle of wine and some smirnoff. LOL..I've never gotten tipsy of wine.lol. But it was good times. The ride home was nasty though. Me and Paige were EXHAUSTED and ended up switching off driving halfways cuz we were both so tired. Doing my half of the drive I got in road rage with this little red bitch of a car. Damn Wisconsin drivers...dont' know what good driving is. :-) Anyways..we made it home safe...and here I am...with a memory of a good weekend in G-town. :-)
