[And here's a Nathan, looking absolutely dashing in his Spanish military outfit, and sparkling as though he were an extra Lira.]

[Having briefly left her date's side (she refuses to be ditched!), Umeka returns with a couple glasses of punch. Her Bohemian outfit looks quite ridiculous on her and, as she's elected to try out her contact lenses instead of glasses, her squinting doesn't help matter. She wonders why contacts make everything brighter and takes a sip of her punch. It tastes funny, but she's not a drinker and wouldn't be able to pinpoint exactly why.

Smiling up at Nathan and trying to stop squinting, she hands him the other cup.]

Senor~ Por tu. [go go failspanish]

Why, thank you, Umeka! I'm really glad I asked you, you look beautiful.

[He takes a sip of punch and then downs it, giving the glass a funny look after. Oh well, spiked or not, he's here to celebrate, right? Now isn't the time to conduct an investigation into spiked punch on Order soil.]

May I take your hand, señorita~?

Oh. Thank you. [a c-compliment from someone she's not related to? Umeka is ready to keel over and die happy. She hides her tomato red blush with her cup as she takes another sip.]

Ole! [not quite sure if that's applicable, she carefully sets her hand in his.]

[holy crap she is going to dance with her date!]

[And he tugs her a little closer, smile unfaltering.] I'm afraid that despite my dress, I'm not too good at flamenco. Would you settle for the tango or waltz instead?

[now she has no cover for her embarrassingly red cheeks. It's not a cute, shoujo blush, it's more an 'I'm tremendously out of shape and just sprinted 800 meters' blochy sort of red. Still, she tries to keep her head up.]

T-tango? Oh, no, no, no. Nishimotos don't tango... But a waltz would be... nice.

[damn all these smooth, blonde British boys! Where do they come from?! (Stupid question...) And why do her knees turn to mush when they're around?]

[He's familiar with that brand of blushing from the mirror, and it is with relief that he takes her into a slow waltz.

He's enjoying this. If he could compose an ode to anyone, it would be awkward girls.]

So, Miss Nishimoto, what is it that you study?
