top ten eh....compare to mr. thomason
i know after writing this i'm gonna look back and probably change it.
1. The Lawrence Arms/ Chinkees split ( touch of punk/good emo touch of punk/ska. you can't go wrong. they're all flawless tracks.)
2. 1089 Slap happy hours- Green Day ( one of the best fuckin punk albums in my eyes. Green Day is what got me started in this whole wonderful world of music. Thanks billie.)
3. Alkaline Trio- Maybe I'll catch fire ( this cd is new in my collection, but damn it's a goodie. This cd got me hooked into matt skiba's doable voice. yes i realize that last comment was quite homosexual, but i quite frankly don't care. i've decided matt skiba is hotter than Brandon Boyd. Matt is way more badass.)
4. Short Round- Language ( Every track is scrumptulescent. particularly the first one-the alcohol talking- one of the most amazingly well put together songs in the history of mankind. Jason thinh is one small savage asian.)
5. The Rx Bandits- Resignation (it's beautiful, and almost sexually pleases one's ears each time you'll hear it.)
6.At the Drive in- Relationship of command ( one of the craziest and greatest artistry ever. mars is good, but u can't replace atdi.
7. Hot Water Music- A flight and a crash ( excellent cd. not sure what else to say except that fabulous gainsville foursome kick ace.)
8. Sunny Day Real Estate- Diary ( The heir to throne of the emo godfather Jawbreaker, these guys kick ass in a more pansy fashion compared to jawbreaker. they're good david.)
9. Shadows Fall- The art of balance ( this band got me into metal as soon as i was introduced to them by good peer advertisement of Bill Cosby. think about it. this metal band is beyond ridiculous when it comes to breaking the scale of awesomeness. this band led me into the direction of hardcore bands and other great metal bands.)
10. Alkaline Trio- Alkaline Trio ( What's this menagerie?!?! ALkaline trio has two spots on this menacing countdown. What can I say besides the fact that I'm a sucker for a good voice, bald guy with a good voice, and an amazing drummer...)
Now I realize i'm missin some greats but, if u can put some suggestions of what i missed, maybe i'll add them if i'm feelin that ur feelin lucky...shit. children i'll be gone for awhile on vacation in the wonderful town of coronado. my fair lady will be joinin me soon enough which will up the fun by a notch of 10. i'll be back on the late afternoon of the 22nd. csl has another b-day bash show on the 27th. talk to mike lane for details. the only person who's in for sure with us is jello. our now official guitar tech/roadie. i will miss u my chillin.
