Yes, I did go. Let me find my notes and see if he said anything interesting...

Ah, yes: there will be 9 questions on the exam, mostly testing factual knowledge. There will be a question/questions about pictures on the powerpoint. There will be 1 question where you get three question options, and you have to pick one to write an answer for about 100 words.
He'll focus on the things discussed in class, the BBC texts are background info, so if it's thoroughly mentioned in class it might just be in the exam.

And then he explained some things of which we had questions. (about Home Rule, Cromwell, closing the parliament by Charles I, rump parliament, glorious revolution, extra-parliamentary forces, uniformication, Oscar Wilde's trials, reasons for WWI and WWII, Easter Rising, Thatcher, the Suez Crisis, and Robert Clive (that we don't have to know that because his video didn't work but he told us anyway. Many people were very happy I asked, *cough cough* :) )
I think almost all of it had been discussed in classes anyway, but yeah. I still took 5 pages of notes... Can't help myself :)
Ah, and you did get to finish your essay on time then? ;P (Oh, I am a procrastinator from time to time as well. I just had planned to do the essay in the first weekend of the holiday so I would have it done in time and could learn for the other exams... Like I wouldn't procratinate doing that... ;D )

Ooh, by the way, I found out you could also practice vocab with the CD-Rom in the book! Although with me the programme keeps on stopping... *grrrr*
Oh, by the way nr. 2: you did know that we have to do the miscellanious expressions from the OCS reader thingy as well, right? (I kind of realised that last monday... not too sure if everyone knows that really)

Yeah, I did know that last thing. Revising vocab, not entirely too worried about the exam. (Though maybe I should be)

I'll probably print out my BCH notes later. :P

Okay, good :) Yup, I'm doing that too. I'm not too sure about that exam, it all seems a bit too easy sometimes... *shifty eyes* now I'm suspicious...
(Man that other reply was long... Sorry :) )
If I have time I could type up my notes from the extra class, if you want?

Only if you have time. Would be nice :3

I wouldn't worry too much about vocab. I'll look it over again a few more times, but I already know a lot of words so it's pretty easy :P To the point where you think, "um, is this really uni level?" but oh well.

*playing* I know a girl, a girl called party, party girl~ :D

I'll see if I have a bit of time tonight, probably will :)

Yeah, very true :D

Oh, I put up the poster you gave me by the way, it's now on my closet door ♥

Oooh :) Like that one! *playing something completely U2-unrelated and of which I don't know the lyrics but still it's pretty :)* (It's called the Funeral by Band of Horses if you wanted to know ;P )

Yay! Great :D

Glad you like the poster. <3 I hope it shall fill you with happiness whenever you see it /lameness

I was listening to the Inception soundtrack all night yesterday - it is really, really cool. (Hans Zimmer <3) Favourite tracks are probably Dream within a dream (#9) and Time (#12). :)

:) I hope it will too, that's why I put it there (okay, that and the fact that the only other place I could hang it was the side of the closet, and then I wouldn't see it at all... ;) )

Ooooh, that soundtrack is very cool indeed! I love # 12 as well! Hey, if you like that music you might like X-Ray Dog (it's a company that produces music for film trailers... with a very silly name, that's true), or by ES Posthumus (I recommend Nara. You might even recognize a bit) and I have many more like that that I won't name right now or otherwise this reply will be way too long...

And YAY it is indeed :) (I should really make a U2 icon, I don't have any! I'm working on a lemon/kiwi one, though ;P)
