Title: Mirror, mirror on the wall

Author's Note: Okay, so like I explained, this is way harder than I thought, but double the fun than writing a long story. Short stories need a lot of cutting and editing, before you can say you're happy with it. And I enjoy doing so! The prompt was a nice one, many things you can do with Time. Here's my try!
Summary: Susan goes back to England and realises how alone she is without Caspian.
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Susan stepped forward, afraid for what might come. The tree looked inviting and she could do nothing more than accept the invitation. She put her foot in the space that had appeared when Aslan had split the tree trunk. Immediately, Narnia disappeared and coldness overwhelmed her.
An image danced before her eyes as the entrance took her whole being in. She saw him.
She tried to catch him.
Tried to hold on.
Tried to not forget.
Susan blinked and all was gone. She couldn’t breathe for a moment, and when she blinked a second time, the first thing she saw was a black with red train and a clock on the brick wall. The minute-hand went round and round as Susan stared. Time mocked her. She would never be able to go back. She didn’t control time, because it controlled itself. Salty tears fell down on the cold ground, and the minute-hand moved at the rhythm. She saw his image once more in the mirror of tears. She never wanted to forget. But time would make her forget, as it passed. That was her fate, and fate was not to be fought against. Her fingertip touched the mirror and his image was gone. Gone, like another minute without him.
- End.
