Though seriously, today wasn't too bad...except for me forgetting my whistle *headdesk* Note to everyone, trying to yell over 28 kids in a gym, not a good idea...but other than that things went rather well for my first day teaching.
My favorite quote today from one of my male students (actually, I'll give you the short conversation):
Student: "Guys don't play volleyball"
Me: "Have you been living under a rock the past two weeks?"
Student: "No."
Me: "So you saw the Olympics?"
Student: "Yeah, they were cool."
Me: "So you must have missed the part where the US Men took gold in both beach and indoor MEN's volleyball?"
Student: "...oh..."
Though I have to say after that he tried to do what he was supposed to.
And speaking of Olympics, I am so bummed that they are over. But, I do get to go see the gymnasts on their tour in October *bounces* I can't wait for that. And look out London, I'm planning/hoping to be there in 2012 :D
