Hey! I just wanted to share this letter that I got with you guys. I think it is really interesting and VERY true and speaks right to me about frustration and probably right to you, too!
After Sept. 11th,
one company invited
the remaining
members of other companies
who had been decimated
by
the attack on the Twin Towers
to share their available office space.
At a morning meeting,
the head of security told stories
of why these people were alive...
and all the stories were just:
The 'L I T T L E' things .
As you might know,
the head of the company survived
that day because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was
his turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her
alarm clock didn't go off in time.
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike
because of an auto accident.
One of them
missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes
and had to take
time to change.
One's
car wouldn't start.
One went back to
answer the telephone.
One had a
child that dawdled
and didn't get ready
as soon as he should have.
One couldn't
get a taxi.
The one that struck me
was the man
who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
took the various means
to
get to work
but before he got there,
he developed
a blister on his foot.
He stopped at a drugstore
to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.
Now when I am
stuck in traffic,
miss an elevator,
turn back to answer a ringing telephone...
all the little things
that annoy me.
I think to myself,
this is exactly where
God wants me to be
at this very moment.
Next time your morning seems to be
going wrong,
the children are slow getting dressed,
you can't seem to find the car keys,
you hit every traffic light,
don't get mad or
frustrated;
God is at work watching over you.
May God continue to bless you
with all those annoying little things
and may you remember their possible purpose.
Yep-- I should try my hardest to remember these things!
So yeah!! I love my friends! I was thinking about things lately and you know- I have a GREAT big brother! I love him SO much! As I wrote in livejournal... I think that EVERYONE should be jealous of me because I have the BEST big brother in the whole wide world! He is my bestest friend!! Great guy! Growing up, all of his friends became big brothers to me, too. I was talking to my friend, doodie, about movies the other day and I told him that growing up I never really watched movies because my brother, all of the guys and me, the tom-boy-lil-sis, were always outside playing on the four-wheeler, in the creek, in the trucks, in the mud, or somewhere outside! Its the truth, too! I have always been an outdoorzy kind of person. I want to catch up on movies though! I always feel left out of the convo. when people talk about movies because I really dont know what they are talking about! *haha* Most of the actor & actresses names... dont know! Oh well! I have a lot of guy friends. A whole lot! Which is awesome because I'm not a real flirt, I just kid around- and they know it. Which is awesome, but the reason for this is because I am so used to having guy friends due to my childhood. I have a lot of girl friends, too, and they are the absolute best ever, but yea- I was just thinking about how many guy friends I have. I think because Brandon was talking about Coleman yesterday and today! :) Random bits of info! Anyway- I'm going. AND I've been writing in Xanga, too. So I am very indecisive on the two journals and which one I will stay with, I may just copy each entry to both. What a luzer am I- TOO much free time, wow! I'm still figuring it out! Much love to the hometown!-me
By the way- Camie (with a K) decided that her little bear that we made at LNC is now a boy instead of a girl- SO now its named Hamilton-Luce! Its a boy. It is still my bear's special friend. Have a great night!
