Summary: Ross Jenkins has been waiting for the Doctor.
A/N: I've set myself the challenge of writing a drabble for each day of advent for different characters/pairings. They'll all be pretty fluffy and positive. Although they probably won't be Christmas related until later on.
Ross was alive. It was moments like this that made him remember why life was so brilliant and unexpected. Ross was sat opposite him, telling him all about his miraculous recovery.
“I’ve been waiting for you to come back; I wanted to thank you.”
The Doctor smiled. “If I knew you were alive I would’ve come back sooner.”
The Private’s face lit up. “Really?”
“Really. Actually, I was wondering if you’d… like to come with me.”
“Into space?”
“Yeah, and time.”
Ross nodded slowly. “Alright.”
The Doctor beamed. “You will? No guns allowed, though.”
“Yes sir,” said Ross, grinning cheekily.
