making a list

I like lists. They are neat and organized, makes you feel like you will get something done. But then you have to do things and check them off and remember where you put the list ( Read more... )

Break list formation all you want, I'm good with it.

1. It's good to step out of your comfort zone once in a while. I just hope that I don't fall back into old habits and drop it for a decade before I pick it back up.

2. Set the Time, Something to talk about, and a couple others sat around for years before I completed them. I'm far from a fast writer. It took me months to do the final edit on Something to Talk About. Nine pages in two weeks is speedy to me. musesfool, Victoria P. in the WRFA, talks about the struggles of writing all the time and she has a great rate of output.

When I started writing I use to love the challenge communities where you could only write 15 minutes or 100 words. Then polish it up and done.

3. Logan and Rogue have to talk about feelings... I don't like feelings. My personality type has been characterized as the warmest of machines, emotional displays are not easy for me. *ways arms around at the ickiness of overly emotional scenes*

4. I second guess myself out of writing most of the time. I can't just let it flow, I worry about the right word, if it sounds good, or if others will follow how I got from point A to B.

5. Fanart. Yes, please!

1. I hope I can complete something before a decade is up!

2. That makes me feel better to know that I'm not alone in my writing struggles. That is a really cool idea to write for a challenge; I think that would push me to just do it already instead of over thinking.

3. Lol!

4. YES! That is me 100%. And that is exactly what is holding me up from progressing with this story; I'm worried that it won't make sense how I got from point A to point B. So I'm trying to make sure all the blanks are filled in, and that in turn is making me draw a blank. :)

5. Coming right up! Posting something right now...

1. You can do it! *looks back up* Say, unless your font is huge, 9 typed pages is a story.

2. Some of my favorite authors have admitted to some real struggles or a handful of abandoned fics.

4. Have someone take a look at it and give you some idea if you are making sense. If you want I can take a look at it, but I suck at grammar so just the big picture type thing.

5. You do a wonderful job of delivering fanart.

I would love it if you would take a look! Just let me add a couple of things and then I will send it your way. How would I go about sending it to you? Does LJ allow you to send documents?

Thanks so much! Glad you like the fanart, too. :)

You can send it to me at cschoolgirl@gmail.com You can do an attachment that way, because I have no idea how much lj allows.
