(no subject)
Apparently a few of our friends were asking Dreu about Erin and my night out. I found that kind of amusing, to be honest. Anyone who knows me at all knows that Erin and I are incredibly close friends, and that I'm very in love with Dreu!!!
I went skiing last weekend, and it was incredible. Dreu got me in for free, and free rentals. I wasn't sure how long it had been since I last skied, but when I put my lift ticket on, I realized the ticket from the last time was still on my snow pants- Dec. 27, 2001. I guess its been a while!!! I skied alone, which normally I would hate, but it was perfect. Just took it all at my own pace, got a great work out (its even better in the spring because you have to dig in your turns harder when the snow is wet), and spent the whole day out in the beautiful sunshine (that I"ve been craving for the past 6 months!!!!!) I'm trying to go again this weekend, since Okemo won't be open past then anyway. We'll see how it goes.
The rest of the past week and a half wasn't so great.... In addition to three things that I can't discuss publicly, I found out that Sandra (friend from highschool) passed away, and that Shooka's is closing down because their landlord didn't renew their lease. I'm not talking about any of these things, because to be honest I don't have the energy to think about any of them right now. I'm stepping back and taking them one at a time... small bite, chew and swallow before attacking the next bit.
And looking forward to the positives, because let's face it, there are so, so many.
